POLIJE is Consistently able to Develop The Achievements

JEMBER - State Polytechnic of Jember (Polije) is a vocational college that is consistently able to develop its capability through various achievements from year to year. polije managed to develop their achievements consistently for 2 years. Starting from 2021, Polije become the overall winner of Agricultural Innovation Technology Competition III 2021 (AITEC III). AITEC III is the third competition for all state polytechnics and universities that majoring in agriculture since 2017. After being on hiatus in 2019 and 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, AITEC was held again in 2021. The selection was carried out online and offline with around 327 students from 19 vocational colleges. In the competition, there are two categories, they are the Agricultural Technology Innovation Competition and the Agricultural Vocational Contest. Polije was performed brilliantly in the final round by winning three gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal.

Meanwhile, the achievements of Polije continue in 2022. The automotive engineering study program at State Polytechnic of Jember has developed an innovation in the form of electric motorcycle. The electric motorcycle was made by students and lecturer in that study program by modifying the body frame. The modification lies in the material, such as the use of lithium batteries with a capacity of 48 volts and 12 amperes with a distance 45 km, and a speed up to 60 km/hours. However, the modifications were not carried out for some parts, such as tires, wheels and disc brakes. The electric motorcycle has acharging process for about 4 hours with fast charging mode and 7 hours with slow charging mode. 

This innovation is also completed with dynamo and accumulator, which is divided into Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC) as the driving force. In Indonesia itself, usually, the use of dynamo is already applied the  brushless type or without brush and wire. Even so, the Director of State Polytechnic of Jember is proud of the achievement achieved by his students. Furthermore, the innovation needs research to maximize electric motorcycle into a high-level product. This research is needed on the development of lithium batteries into nickel materials which are relatively stronger and maximal in driving electric motorcycles. Not only on the driving material but also required in the performance testing on the torque and power of the electric motorcycle. This is because the innovation of electric motorcycles will be needed by the community since the world’s fuel oil is decreasing from year to year. Then, people must switch using the new energy in driving the automotive as a mode of transportation in the future. The achievements above successfully reached by the students of Polije. From those achievement, it was shown that Polije accommodates students in various fields. This is done to develop that Polije appreciates the abilities of each student, so they will be motivated in developing their potential. 

The new students can choose polije as a choice. This can be considered base on the achievements that reached by students consistently. Not only achievements, but Polije also accepts students from all fields. Either the achievement of automotive field or agriculture field, Polije always support them. Starting from agriculture, automotive, health, information technology, accounting until language all are in Polije.
